Many individuals think that because they lack money or they don’t have connections or they are not visionaries that they can’t change the world. But what is forgotten is that we all have a voice,a way to alter and influence the world for what we believe in. That’s the whole point, spreading awareness and the initiation of change happens right where each person is. A blogging collective to raise $10,000 in one day? It has change written all over it…
- who are we: This effort is led by four bloggers from around the country. We blog about our families and friends, our trips to Disneyland, and the “every day stuff” that brings us joy.
- who are you: Maybe you blog for a living. Maybe you own the Huffington Post. Or maybe you’re just like us. We don’t have huge followings or advertisement deals. But we love telling stories. We want to use our blogs to make a difference.
- our goal: Our goal is to raise $10,000 USD in one day. We know that’s epic. And this campaign has never been done before. But if we succeed, we will help bring clean water to 300 additional people each month. That’s 3,600 people per year!
- our revolution: Find fifty bloggers like us to join our blog-a-thon this Tuesday, and ask ten of their readers donate $20 to The Adventure Project’s Keep It Clean Campaign.
March 22nd is World Water Day and the official kick off of typeTAP.
