Story has it that John Denver wrote that song about the Blue Ridge Mountains, and while he may talk about West Virginia prominently in the song, everyone knows western Virginia is really where the Blue Ridge shines.
I drove a few hours around the mountains today, it most likely would have taken half the time if I didn’t keep stopping. It may have been the most beautiful drive I’ve been on since Ireland.
